The Flipper pinball machine, released by D. Gottlieb & Co. in 1960, designed by Wayne Neyens with artwork by Roy Parker.
Notably, Flipper was the first Add-A-Ball game produced and made "extended play" flipper games legal in places (like New York City) where replay games were banned. This was also the first game to introduce the "Wedgehead" design.
