Machine Description
El Dorado stands as one of Gottlieb's iconic contributions to the golden age of electro-mechanical pinball machines in the mid-1970s. Drawing inspiration from the legendary lost city of gold, this machine captured players' imaginations with its western gold rush theme and distinctive artwork. It's asymetrical playfield was the basis of a book about how to play pinball, "Pinball Wizardry". The game was released by Gottlieb in 1975, designed by Ed Krynski with artwork by Gordon Morison.
