Machine Description
Artist: George Molentin One ball, no flipper gambling game.
This colorful machine captured America's love of beach culture as surf music and movies gained popularity in the early 1960s. Because of the gambling nature of this machine, the real draw was the beautiful Molentin women on the backglass and playfield beckoning men with a come hither look to dump enourmous amounts of coins for a chance to win prizes, drinks or cash. With one ball to play, by hitting all the dead bumpers and spotting 10 & 11 with the center saucer you could win the maximum credits. Trade in your credits for cash from the bartender and they would reset the 3 digit counter to zero with a knock off button ready for the next player to try their luck.
Beach Queens became a popular fixture in bars and adult watering holes and until they became illegal in most areas made a lot of money for Bally and the operators.
