Machine Description
Released in the summer of 1964, 2 in 1 was an electro-mechanical game designed for two players. Its playfield features two flippers, an array of pop and mushroom bumpers, and lively slingshots that keep the ball in motion. It was actually 2 games in 1, with credits won by getting 21 in a seperate "21" window or by getting high score in the points scoring reels, capped at 1,999 points, with up to 25 replays awarded on a rotating wheel. The "21" score was achieved by hitting the mushroom buttons and if achieved, could be maintained by pressing the "Hold" button before launching consecutive balls. It was an early foray into amusement pinball by Bally, a company steeped in the tradition of producing gambling games with 2 in 1 splitting the difference.
